Hi everyone,

I have a dual install of XP and 10.4.10 on a Gigabyte p35 D3SL motherboard. Each time I boot into windows, I have to turn of AHCI. And when I boot into OSX, I have to turn it on.

The problem is that after booting into windows, I'll lose network connectivity the next time I boot into OSX. In order to get network connectivity back, I have to remove the battery from my motherboard. Then, for some odd reason, OSX will recognize my on board NIC.

Does anyone know why this happens or how to avoid it?

Thank you.

It turns out windows was to blame. Go into Network -> Lan -> Properties -> Configure -> Advanced -> Wake Lan on Shutdown -> Enabled.

Restart. Problem solved.
