I tried running the Truepianos demo under OSX on my iHack but no luck: it keeps exiting before it has a chance to run. I'd be curious to see if any of you can run it on your x86's.
I read somewhere that the PC challenge/response copy protection it uses creates a system ID based on BIOS and Hard Drive info. Might be doing the same on mac. Could the fact that it doesn't see EFI data, serial no, etc, on an x86 be the reason why this program isn't running?
Oh well.
>>> UPDATE <<<<
Interestingly, if I try to access Quicktime's recording preferences, I get the exact same error message on the thread that crashes:
Exception: EXC_BAD_ACCESS (0x0001)
Codes: KERN_PROTECTION_FAILURE (0x0002) at 0x00000000
The system is running 10.4.10, k 8.10.1, and all other apps I've tried run stable including QT, except in this instance.
...hmmmm... any ideas?
