Full Version: i cann't update my os from 10.4.8 to 10.4.10

I'm runing OSX 10.4.8 and and i cann't update it to 10.4.10

the system doesn't start when i update it

i dont know why

i used mac OS X 10.4.8 [JaS AMD-Intel-SSE2-SSE3 with PPF1 & PPF2].iso



can anyone help me with this?

Your hardware probably isn't properly supported. If you have a sse2 cpu make sure you select the older kernel that actually is a 10.4.9 kernel. And make sure your hardware supports phet when the 10.4.10 version requires phet. On Pentium / single core machines the JaS releases seem to be more compatible.
If you have an AMD cpu you need Tubgirl's release.

Updating to 10.4.9 is more easily done from JaS 10.4.8 though. There is a JaS 10.4.9 SSE3 only - update out there which you can install if you replace the netkas sse3 kernel that is in that update with a sse2 10.4.9 kernel (they are out there!) before rebooting. This way I have 10.4.9 running on my sse2 notebook (look in my sig).
