Full Version: A UI Customization Question regarding Leopard

In Tiger, if your system has multiple partitions and you want to show only the system drive, you would have to go to Finder Preferences, hide all drives and create an Alias to the system drive on the desktop.

Is it possible in Leopard to show only the drive or drives you want on the desktop? Its so messy showing 5 partitions on the desktop and I don't like shortcut Alias icon when you create one on the desktop. Anyway, the System drive itself is pretty much useless when you easily access the Finder through the Dock.

Thanks

You can hide just a single drive in both Tiger and Leopard. Use SetFile from xcode to set the mountpount (not the device) invisible. Works like a charm.
