Full Version: QuickLook can preview OpenOffice files but not iWork files!

I just noticed Leopard can preview OpenOffice files but not iWork files. Are we moving to a new format? Apple seems to be using a lot of stuff from Sun. ZFS, Dtrace (Xray), new dock, now OpenOffice/StarOffice?

Maybe there'll be a new release coinciding with the release of 10.5?

Maybe the Apple Developer who was supposed to code that in was watching porn instead of doing his job?

Since the .pages format is a bunch of XML, and OpenDocument is a bunch of XML too, it wouldn't be too hard for Apple to change the default format, and even to migrate older files when the new version of iWork is installed. And Apple likes to go with open standards where possible, so OpenDocument would be a good move there (especially since quite a few governments like Massachusetts state gov are going to start requiring OpenDocument formats across the board soon).
