Full Version: Uninstalling Leopard

i have problems trying to uninstall leopard, i cant do it via Boot Camp, iPartition or Disk Utility.
Please, if someone can help on this.. my iChat account is nesguep@mac.com.

PS: i just want to leave one partition with tiger in it

Boot up the Leopard install disc and use Disk Utility to first delete the Leopard partition, then resize the Tiger one.

i installed leopard from a friend's ipod, can i use my tiger disc??

tried to do it from my tiger dvd but i couldn't
i didn't find a "apply changes" button

No, you can't use your Tiger disc unless you don't mind having to erase your whole HDD.

Get your friend's iPod back...

I hope you didn't have Leopard on it, at that point...

Yea, only the Leopard disk utility can resize a partition through the GUI.

You can go into the terminal and use diskutil as it will allow you to do it if you have a 10.4.5 or later Intel DVD.

Personally, I find that I do most of my partition resizing from a Gentoo DVD and use Parted.

But as your Macbook is already in Ape's hands, it doesn't make that much of a difference.
