So I just wanted to find out what an apple rep thought about the launch of the iPhone and if it would get sold out... So here is the following chat.

Stories have been cropping up now about how people are going to camp outside Apple Stores waiting for this thing. I don't see the point...

There's even a Digg story on how to camp out for the iPhone "properly"... although I can't find it in the RSS feed. It was there earlier today.

I'll buy it ASAP, so that's at least one sold...

It's a damn phone, it's not even that revolutionary.
Just wait until Samsung's 64 gig solid state drive appears in cell phones.

Absolutely. Consider that here in Europe it will cost around 500eur. With that money you can build a decent computer, especially once Intel slashes their prices in July.
There are plenty of phones to chose from, very nice and cheaper.
IMO, moving resources from the computer business to phones, which traditionally is the field of better established companies (Nokia, Motorola...) was one of their silliest moves in the last few years.

Agreed. It will be scarce but not sold out. I use my phone for talking and texting, my RAZR is perfect. If I needed it for email, I would get a phone with physical keys!!!!
