hey i was wondering how you make a picture like this one only partially black and white while still leaving certain areas or colors still with color. thanks :]

not sure but i think they have to be recolored..... easier if you have a stylus and touch pad thingy

in photoshop select the two shirts, inverse selections and then make the selection black and white.

theres something called I think its photo impressions that alot of people use for there myspace pics

haha first of all her boyfriend is in the pic right next to her, they go to my church and i got that pic off of their myspace.... hahah

If you have Photoshop, you can use the history brush. You can use it like this:

1. Make the complete picture black and white
2. Select your history brush, and start to paint tongue.gif
3. Paint everything you want colored, and voila smile.gif

If you have lightroom you can get really cool results with "Virance" turning it way down.
Darkmatter
You can also use the magic wand to select the shirts then exclude it, then convert the pics to B&W. it's all that simple.

You can use Channel Mixer Layer, and mask it to reveal all except shirts.

Or you can use the select -> color range and use that tool to select the color you want to keep then inverse and desaturate.

you can use quick mask mode with a feathered brush to select the shirts. i would recommend doing a copy/paste to a new layer and then desaturating the original layer.
