Just wanna FYI that the SATA of my Asus P4C800 Deluxe works.

What are you talking about? I just checked and it says under you motherBoard, works: IDE, PS/2, LAN, Audio, USB, FireWire, SATA (audio:needs fix, see sound), the only thing that says Untested is RAID.

NON-WORKING = LAN, Promise SATA

Intel SATA is the Primary SATA, and it embed in the ICH.

Promise SATA is an AddOn and as other SATA AddOn chipsets like Silicon Image, High Point they don't have kexts.



There is nothing to change, it already says Intel SATA=working.

Myself and the OP both have laptops with Promise SATAs, and according to macgirl,
there are no specific extensions loaded, so they should be working. Or, I could have
completely misunderstood what you were talking about here.

Any help would be appreciated.

The Only SATA Kexts are for Intel and VIA chipsets AFAIK.

i have a similar issue with the p4p800-e deluxe, my primary ide and sata works, but my secondary ide and third (raid but configured as normal IDE) wont work and arent even shown, so i have 4 hdds at loss

I have the same issue here.

If I indeed have to give up on getting my Promise SATA to work, that's OKAY. I guess

Next step is getting my ATI AGP to work properly... and LAN LAN LAN!
