Not being familiar with the performance of powerpc processors, would an iMac G4 1ghz hold up running iLife 06 and Leopard? I'm looking to buy an inexpensive mac desktop, it would be my first mac purchase...

It will run iLife 06 and it will run Leopard (unless Apple changes the specs between Leopard beta and Leopard final).
