My USB works, i even installed the patch that is stickied on the forums. However my USB thumb drives wont work. 2 of them, one Lexar, one Sandisk. Have always used them on Windows machines and also have used them on a PowerMac a few weeks ago, no problems with that, just Jas 10.4.8 that there's a problem.

one popped up for a second on the desktop. when i tried to access it, it just sat there spinning until i unplugged it after a few minutes.

May be your USB Kext , not load yet.
