ok i want a macbook pro really badly because i think it is link an ultimate laptop.
the thing is i'm a major fan of emulation. (PCSX2=awesome) and a gamer and i need a computer upgrade badly to play all of these great games (battlefield 2142 and stuff)

I'm a little worried because the best part of my pc is a nvidia geforce 7600 GT AGP GFX card. Everything else is 10 years old.

i'm thinking about getting a macbook pro around the leopard release and dualboot with vista.

By the time leopard is released i'm thinking there will be a gfx card upgrade but idk.

my question is. How bad is a ati x1600 compared to a geforce 7600 GT

anyone have any advice....

P.S. i'm already going to replace the hdd with a 7200 rpm 250 gb one.

i don't know if there is any card swap or something like tht.

Why would you buy a mac if you just want to play games?

The x1600 is more along the lines of a 6600GT. Approximately half the performance.

Not even. They're both equally powerful, however quality wise, ATI is still ahead (when comparing the anti-aliasing quality). A 6600GT is not half the performance of a 7600GT...its more like 3/4.

oh well i guess that's not that bad thanks for the info... but why do people say 6600 sucks
