I successfully installed OSX on my Dell E1505 this past weekend using the JaS 10.4.8 installer DVD with the 10.4.9 update.

Ethernet (WIRED) -- Got it working following the directions here:

Have NOT yet gotten sleep functionality working... actually, if I have my screen turn off after X number of minutes, I can't even get it to turn back on without restarting the computer. If I touch the trackpad once the screen has turned off, I can see the backlight comes on, but the picture never comes back.
Sooo, hopefully wireless will be working soon, as well as the power management stuff. THEN I'll be a happy camper. :-)
