according to my local dealer, i can buy a mac in the us and take it back here and have the full warranty. global warranty according to him, so it shouldn't be a problem

yeah same here..got my answer after directly asking apple service center here in russia.russian isn't my native language so it a pain in the ass to explain to the guy

In Norway we don't need the warranty, because by law Apple have to fix the macbook if something in it breaks down before 3 years. 3 years is how long the Norwegian authorities have said any new laptop should last, except the battery.

The law in norway states 5 years actually. But it is only valid if you a) have bought it from a dealer in norway and

you buy it as a consumer (not as business).
