i was wondering - how can i not have a disk appear on my desktop when i plug it in -


it fills up my desktop when i see "mac hd" "windows" "external disk 1" "external disk 2" "ipod" "flash drive" "whatever disk image is open" etc

i also am wondering this. if you go to an apple store, you wil sometimes see desktops with nothing on the desktops

thanks... i didnt think finder - i thought desktop lol - nothing there

So - how do we stop certain disks showing up, but not others?

well - now that we no how to put all of them away - we could just make alias' and stick those on the desktop

Alias's aren't the same though. It doesn't say how much space is used, how much is free, etc... Plus, they have shortcut icons over the top. I know I'm nit-picking, but that's just me laugh.gif
