Just placed an order for it today, along with a handful of 8-Core Mac Pros, and a new Xserve with a 3.5TB RAID Array.

My creative department is currently running CS2 off G4s connected to a G4-based Xserve. When our new equiptment comes in, were going to switch everything over on a saturday, and hopefully, just hopefully resume work as normal on monday...

Has anyone else made the jump from CS2 to CS3?

We make use of just about every basic component of the suite at one point or another, InDesign for Page Layouts, PS for image corrections, Illustrator for logos & graphic elements, and Bridge to keep a good overview, We've yet to put Version Cue to the test, but It looks like it could really enhance our productivity, at the slight cost of a learning curve, which would hopefully be overcome by the upgrade to faster equiptment.

I would also like to know what the applications are being displayed in, looks cool.

Hey jpleakis, how did you get on with the switchover?

Also, anyone here got CS3 and is running it on a MacBook? I'm curious to know how well it runs (or doesn't!) on that machine.

Cheers

Second that. Specs of the Macbook I'm running in my signature. Anyone know how well it would run on this?

i have a macbook pro core 2 duo with only a gig of ram and it runs awesome. you have two gigs so it should run like lightening for you. only thing i wouldnt like about the macbook is the small screen size.

Sweet, thanks GBK! I'm planning on hooking it up to my old skool G4-era 23" cinema display via a mini-DVI-to-DVI adapter, so screen real estate should be the least of my worries... though I do wonder about how well the onboard graphic will cope with that... I guess I'll find out soon enough!
