im looking for an cheap, fully functional audio card with optical out.


which one is recommended?

try to get hold of this one:Sweex USB sc004
It's very cheap at 25 euro's..
At least.. here in Holland.
Works great.. just plug it in and it works..
Only thing is that it sometimes needs a replug after rebooting, but if you can live with that you've got yourself a great cheap card wirh optical in and output.

Just before I go and buy one, can you tell me if mic/line in works on this? The P5B's internal audio chip works for 2.1, but no mic/line in. Been looking for something that will do everything since I want to be able to use the voice feature in Warcraft under OS X 10.5.2.

i too wanna know about the mic thing.i badly need mic for skype.

if i buy any cheap usb sound card. will it work is there a success..?.i know it's difficult to tell. but need some advice.

can i buy some cheap usb sound card (china make ) or i should select creative product..?

hey guys here is the good news...

i bought a usb sound card for 5$ which is probably a china make. But that crapy card got
detected and working..lol..i said working. both audio and line-in. Now i am using it for skype ... sound quality is great ( i mean mic ). it uses C-media Chip.Both input and Output is working.

people who are all facing sound problem may go for it. worked out of the box.

M-Audio Transit

I've got this Sweex USB soundcard, but cant get optical output to work? any ideas. I am running IATKOS 4i.
