I have an isight from ebay that is working on XP, but not osx.
There is a firmware update for iSight that will only run in Panther..

Can anyone confirm this? Have you used an iSight in Tiger that you are sure was not patched with newer firmware?
I don't have access to a machine running Panther to try this - looking for someone local to try the update with but want to find out what people's experience is here.
