ive been searching through all 70 some pages of the AppleHDA thread but havent found anything thus far so i figured id just ask in a new thread. rolleyes.gif

I have the same problem with the same card and I have not been able to find any solutions for it.

Yeah, I'm willing to chip in $10USD paypal for headphone/speaker mute on the 9200. I figure if we get 10 people chipping in, $100USD would be worth someone's time.

Can anybody tell me, which HDApatcher you used?
I tried all Versions. -- Maybe the kernel should be another then Semthex?

For the patcher I would use the newest one, and fine the linux code dump that match for your Audio, or the closed one that I remember how I did it, and I also have to boot in to -legacy mode, if not then my OS just go in to a panic mode!!!

YEAH! I got it! thumbsup_anim.gif

Thanks Dude!
All I missed, was booting with -legacy. Then the AppleHDApatcher patched the dump of my card, repaired permissions, reboot and *wush* there ist is.

Step by step its going further. Great!
Next would be great, if ethernet/iwi3945 works. After that the graphics card... smile.gif

Dell XPS M1710, Core2Duo 2,16 GHz (Merom), Bios A05 (only one core)
2GB 667MHz Ram (no problem)
GeforceGo 7950 GTX (not yet)
Philips DVD Burner (not yet)
Sigmatel 9200 (works!)
Broadcom (Dell) 355 HDR 2.0 BT (works)
Broadcom NetExtreme 5752 (works, but crashes)
Intel 3945 (not yet)

Thanks again! smile.gif

I am also looking for a way to get the speakers to mute when something is plugged into the headphone jack. I am really thinking about just opening it up and disconnecting the internal speakers (since I dont really need them), but I dont want to void my warranty.

So if anyone figures out a fix for this, keep us posted.

there is still another problem bothering me with the 9200.

first is after sleep and wake up, the earphone port does not work any more, while after rebooting it works fine again. this should not be a big problem, however since you can only get both cores working smoothly with DELL laptops after a sleep and wake up session. Therefore, i really hope some one may find a solution.
