Hi, I have managed to successfully instal Jas 10.4.8 Mac OS X on my machine on a IDE HDD but I can't get any sound and I CAN't figure how to patch kext to make onboard sound a sata controller work... Could someone explain in details to me how to do it or send me the kext file i need in order to make them work? Also I have a DFE-530TX+ Dlink ethernet card but I'm in the same situation as the sound and sata. I have all the device and vendor id I just need to know where to insert them and how because I tried and it doesn't work... if you wish to send me kext file just send them to pysko_chewbacca(at)hotmail.com. thanks alot!

You won't be able to get sound working unless someone makes a custom driver. To fix the SATA edit the Info.plist of the AppleViaAta.kext and add these ids to the sata section 0x528910b9 & 0x2360197b. If you want to fix the ata to not use PIO mode also add 0x522910b9 to the same section, any ata device will show as being sata but you will gain UDMA access. Not sure about the D-Link card as I use the tulip.kext for my Linksys ethernet card, with will also recognize the onboard but it doesn't work.
