I'm attempting to get my onboard LAN working on my gigabyte GA-8i915P Duo Pro motherboard by applying the modifications to the Appleyukon.kext listed here (http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?showtopic=44742)

Following the guide, I open terminal, paste in 'sudo nano /System/Library/Extensions/IONetworkingFamily.kext/Contents/PlugIns/AppleYukon.kext/Contents/Info.plist' and hit enter. I'm asked for my password which I provide and hit enter.

I then get the contents of the info.plist displayed and as is good as i can find and replace 8053 with 8056, and 4362 with 4364.

However I run into problems trying to save the modified plist. How do I save it properly? Do I just go file>save? I suspect into because I cant navigate all teh way to where it needs to be saved.

i know this is a stupid basic problem but any help wold be greatly appreciated.

.....never mind. Figured it out and managed to make the changes.......not that they helped.
