I'm willing to buy a new sound card because the onboard sound doesn't work right.. I'm willing to buy one that "just works" in OSX and XP. I've heard a few times that some USB sound cards work.. I'd rather go with a PCI card than a USB device but I'll go USB if I have to.

Anyone have any recommendations? I want one that has been working without any changes to the OS or any special hacks, I want it to just work.
