My benchmark are horrible!

Your benchmarks are fine, it's your video card that's horrible.

Guys, what am I missing ?
I can only select 640 and 800px modes on openGL viewer ! sad.gif No chance of 1280x1024

I have around 16500 Openmark score with 7900GT 256MB, not too happy considering you have that with 7600GT.

lmfao, nice CED, although, u still beat me.

BTW, new OGLEV is here http://www.realtech-vr.com/glview/download.html

Select test, use these settings so everyone tests the same
1280X1024X32 (60Hz) Display Mode
Tick multisample set to 4
Untick LOD, set slider to 0
Anistropy set to 16
Tick Use Fog

As you reduce options your results will get higher - but it's just pushing raw polygons. Makes crappy cards look good...
Then new 3.0 version just came out last week, so it has some options I'm unfamiliar with...

I still have serious doubts whether this app is really any better than xbench for effectively showing the power of modern video cards.

If you download Santaduck benchmark and use UT2004 (or download demo if you don't have it), and then compare the results to other cards (on Windows or PC) you'll see the 8800 GTX/GTS cards in OS X aren't as bad as xbench/openmark seem to suggest.

I've done the new benchmark with the settings pointed out by consolation
most numbers were around 490, last test 90.

Which re-enforces that these synthetic benchmarks are useless.

I'll stick with my 768MB 8800GTX even though your card has a higher number. wink.gif

Here are a few results for my GA-P35-DS3P Q6600@3.4GHz 99.99997% vanilla system with a variety of graphics cards. All the Nvidia cards are using EFI strings while the ATI card uses Natit.kext

For the five graphics cards that I tested the results for xbench were all in the same ball park area for both 2D & OpenGL. The OpenMark results are in the order that one would expect i.e. 7300GT, 7600GT & 7900GS, 8500GT & top marks from an ATI Radeon HD 2600XT with a result more than 3X that of the 7300GT.
