Okey so i started a new site after my last one www.diggazette.com . this one is all about macs.. its called www.macmate.org
and then i played a bit in photoshop for its template layout. whacha guys think?

Hey that looks great, but I have some positive criticism:

-What is the concept of your design? Is there one? Does it have a purpose?
-Why are the graphics "surrounding" the main window? Shouldn't they be ordered by function? The seem scattered.
-Why are the icons in such a wide border around the center frame. The seem to lose character that way.
-There seems to be a lot of free space doing nothing.
-There are a lot of icons that seem out of proportion. ie. little icons in big frames and big icons in small frames.

The skin isnt finished, There are many free spaces because there have to be things put in them. And all other comments i'll take as a joke?.

I'm not a big fan of the macmate logo along with the stars below it. The rest looks very nice

Yeah, i dont like the stars under the logo its self. Also, cant u not use the actual apple logo in ur own logo? Thats some copywright issues.

Get rid of the "join the mac family" by moving it into one of those black boxes. Then make the content window bigger. Takes away the neg. space. Seems like you're designing a site for apple.com almost. Watch copyright issues.

dont really like the colours

if your going to use the Vortex theme then I would suggest doing Silver and Blue, it looks better and its not as dark.

It's ok to mention a website you own, ask questions about layout, etc... just don't advertise a site you run. The staff is smart enough to distinguish between legitimate questions, like this one, and non-legitimate advertising, such as "OMGWTFBBQ I have a nu site and its so 1337 check it out and join teh forum and I have a layout 2 btw what do u think?"

t3mur, great work. It's a little disjointed (too many bubbles, etc) for my tastes, but the quality is good. I agree with the above comments as well.
