I mean, edit your dev id (0x022110de) into NVDAResman.Kext, NV40HAL.kext and Geforce.Kext, remove any other ids.
The JaS install you used most likely is using Natit which has multiple ids and auto detects your card. If you don't plan on using dual monitors, I would suggest you remove Natit kext and only use Titan.
Thanks Joe.
So, at the end, I should remove all NV* .kext from Extensions folder?
With just Titan.kext and GeForce.kext, it will work?
I tried the following, but still with either Kernel Panic or No QE/CI.
1. Remove Titan. Use Natit Univeral Installer, remove all IDs but just added 0x022110de into the NVDAResman.kext and NVDAN40Hal.Kext and also GeForce.Kext.
---> this give me a complete Black Screen.
2. Use Titan. With added 0x022110de into the NVDAResman.kext and NVDAN40Hal.Kext and also GeForce.Kext.
----> this give me a Kernel Panic.
3. Just use Titan. (i.e. No NVDAResman.kext and NVDAN40Hal.Kext) and Geforce.Kext added 0x022110de.
-----> this boot ok. When boot, Titan say' loaded and finger cross'. But I do not have QE/CI.
4. use Titan. (i.e. No NVDAResman.kext and NVDAN40Hal.Kext), AGPKart and Geforce.Kext added 0x022110de.
------> Same as #3, also boot ok, the device also successfully identified as AGP. But then also no QE/CI.
So it seems to me that, whenever I edited the "NVDAResman.kext and NVDAN40Hal.Kext" by added 0x022110de......, I got Kernel Panic.
I am not sure if this is because of my way of editing the Info.plist inside the Kext. The way I do it is:
1. Copy and paste the relevant Kext from Extension folder to Desktop.
2. Open Package Content
3. Locate the Info.plist and then open with 'Text Editor'. Added the 0x022110de (Also remove all other ids.)
4. Save.
5. Drag the modified Kext back to Extensions Folder.
6. Authenticate and replace the original Kext.
7. Remove the Extensions.Kcache....files (the two cache files)
8. Use Disk Utility to Repair Permission.
9. Reboot.
Should I use 'nano' or 'vi' to edit the kext instead and also chmod / chown in the Terminal , then follow by using Repair Permission instead?
Sorry Joe and to all, I have been trying hard to get this work. (I think my 6200 card should!)...but without success. ....I dealt with this for full 2 nights already....
Would highly appreciate if Joe / any expert could kindly point me to the right direction. Many thanks in advance.
Joseph
