Hello all,

I currently have an iMac intel and I was thinking of buying a laptop for taking notes in class, etc. As I don't have that much money to spend, instead of buying an apple laptop I was thinking of finding a cheap SSE3 laptop on ebay and installing OSx86 on it... Can anyone recommend any models that will mostly work right out of the box (sound, wi-fi, etc)... Also, is it possible to patch my tiger installation disks that came with my imac beccause I don't really have enough bandwidth (1 GB/month) to download any of the patched installs...

edit: and you actually have to download the patched DVDs if you go with a standard non-Apple PC.
