hi guys
i have just installed a jas 10.4.6 image on my acer laptop and installed callisto 008 for a better display resolution. it works fine - my only problem is that the callisto setting was for 1680x1050 which is too wide for my screen (1400x1050) and i cannot choose any other resolution in the display manager. so the screen is cut on the right. can i solve this by entering a different hex string in the plist file? if yes, how can i get this hex string? i have no idea about getting my screen's edid

thank you if anyone can help me!

is there any other way to create an EDID for a 1400x1050 laptop screen?

Have you tried SwitchresX? http://www.madrau.com/html/SRX/About.html

Allows you to set custom resolutions and inject them into the display preference pane. Might help, it gets me to 1366x768 on my laptop without drama.
