Hi ya there!

I have Mac OSS X 10.4.4 on my hackintel and as long as my processor don't have sse3 and i can't afford a new PC right now... i'd like to know if there's a way to install cs3 on a 10.4.4 machine.
Is it possible?

Or better... is there a 10.4.8 version of osx86 which runs on a 1,6Ghz P4????

Update with a 10.4.8 SSE2 patch and get Semthex's SSE2 kernel.

I don't want to look silly... but how should I do it?
I have maxxus 10.4.4 for intel... i tried to update with a 10.4.8 sse2 form Jas... it it crapped my whole system... almost all apps stopped working...

You might be able to get Mac OS X 10.4.6 JaS if that 10.4.8 update doesn't work (since that was the update I would have suggested).

Is there any way installing CS3 on a 10.4.5 cause I reinstall mine to 10.4.5 (found more stable and faster)
perhaps an edit on setup plist to overcome the version of OS X... Any help..?

There is a way to "install" it by cheating the setup app.

find System\Library\CoreServices\SystemVersion.plist

1) change both "10.4.5" into "10.4.8"
2) repair permission

reboot

then you can setup the PS CS3. But I get a crash window when I first run it. Maybe someone here can help:)

it actually requires some things in 10.4.8 (frameworks) which is why it has that requirement.

@Sg: I get rid off the crash window this morning. It proves that there is no such a requirement.

locate to /Applications/Adobe Photoshop CS3/Adobe Photoshop CS3.app/Contents/Resources/AMT/application.sif change application.sif to application.cool

PS CS3 works on my 10.4.5 now!

Unfortunately Bridge doesn't work, it crashes everytime I try to open it. I tried changing the expiry date on Bridge/Contents/Resources/ATM/application.xml, but I'm afraid that was a silly thing to do, as it didn't change anything at all (should I change it back?)

P.S I'm running Mac OS X 10.4.5 on a Dell Latitude D610, Pentium M 1.8, 1.5 GB RAM, should that matter...

CS3 is the god its just like cs2 with better interface and its great

Get bridge from Demonoid.com theres a great one, i heard rumors of it being not very good on other forums but theres a Bridge / Photoshop torrent just find it and it works great had this problem on friends mac.

I've tried this method with my 10.4.6. It can install but cannot run. CS3 can start to load but it stop and shut down when it is "initializing suites..." without any error messages.

i think CS3 Suit it not compatible with intel core solo
