I just purchased a new RealTek network card, and have physically installed it. I am running 10.4.7 and when I try to setup the network it recognizes the card as built-in Ethernet but it asks me for DHCP info that I don't have, such as IP, Gateway Address, Router Info and DNS. It says to finish I must restart the device. How do I do that & how do I setup the network?

If the popup menu is really set to DHCP, it should not ask you for anything. It should ask the router.

If you have the popup set to anything else like DHCP with manual IP, then you will have to fill in some data, depending upon which item you have set in the popup.

How do I setup the network to do it manually? I'm real new at Mac so I don't really know how to do anything. Thanks.
