Ok, since my little hotline server thingie is turning out to be a collection of beta/ classic mac os's, I though I start researching of possibly finding Mac OS X DP 2. Some links to info/ pics about it:

So far, I've email BetaWorld, Guidebook Gallery & a family friend of mine that's been a mac developer since the early/mid 80's (and has a massive collection of Mac stuff in his basement)

Small update:

Turns out I might be able to acquire this DP 2 disc from someone in the next few days. Once I do, it goes on the Hotline server & then I tell this forum the hotline address

Any update on this one? Has the DP2 iso been made available on hotline/kdx/wired servers?

I think i remember this release sitting on one of the many clandestine servers i visit on occasion, i cant seem to find the addresses to them anymore though. ill start looking if i must.

After trying out Mac OS X Server 1.0 on my Beige G3, I'd want to try out for more of this very interesting pre-Aqua Mac OS X.

I have The Public Beta and 10.0.3 I can't get 10.0.3 installed (help here)If you can get DP3 that would be great to. It is the first to have the aqua interface and it had the "solid" dock.
Does anyone know if it had efi?

These versions doesn't run on Intel at all, so no EFI

So they will install on SheepSaver?

Sheepsaver, I doubt. Try PearPC instead.

Sorry about not posting an update. Was in Israel for most of winter break. I was able to get my hands on Mac OS X Server 1.2 though. In the process of getting a new External FW HD for the Hotline server. Will post an update soon

I already had that and a few other things, but my collection went offline and is gone...

I think my brother might have these discs laying around still, I'll see what I can do

(I KNOW he definitely had a pre aqua OS X at some point, because I remembered he said something along the lines of "I upgraded to the next version of the developer preview and it looks entirely different)

I also miss the old version of Classic...as well as the old finder =(

Wow this thread brings back memories. I still have my original CDs for Mac OS X DP1 and DP2. DP3 and DP4 I have lying on one of my HDs. All the DPs were horrid OSes, DP3 was the only interesting one as it was the first with Aqua.

Is there any way you could upload all of the Mac OS X DP's to my hotline server? That way, I'll have Rhapsody DR1 & DR 2, Mac OS X DP 1-4 & Mac OS X Public Beta up there

Ok, bad news. Sorry that I haven't responded to anyone's PM's about DP 2, been busy as ever with College. Essays, final exams & other projects. I had an HD crash and lost the DP 2 ISO file.



Might you still have the CD's? If there's anyone you could upload them to my Hotline server. Or, if you have an FTP server, that be awesome as well.
