After getting the x1950 pro recognized with the help of natit so resolution change I have still a problem with QE and CI.

The ATIRadeonx1000.ketx causes a kenel panic after editing. Can somebody please send me a link to the 10.5 Leopard ATI x1000 kexts?

Thanx in advance for your help.

As it turns out I have found out that you can extract the ATI kexts from the Leopard dmg that can be found via torrent sites. The drivers are in the folder System/Installation/Packages =>Essentials.pkg.
The ATINDRV.kext can be used with Natit edited. There is however one big problem with the ATIRadeonx1000.kext it can be not tested because you will get a message saying sonething like this:

The 16IOATI500 surface is not compatible with its 12IOUserclient superclass changed?
Basically other kexts or system parts must also be installed for the ATIRadeonx1000.kext to load. I have not found out (yet) which kext these are. One thing is for sure the new IOGraphicsFamily.kext does not load in Tiger.

That in the case the x1950 pro there is a kernel panic is strange since it is the successor of the x1900 GT which is now with the help of Natit fully supported. On the other hand the x1950 XT which succeeds the 1900 XT is according to a report on this forum compatible and causes no problem at all.

Personally I think the binary part of the described kext needs to be updated or edited with a hex editor. I am however not so technical that I could do that.

So If anyone know more about this I would like to hear more about that.
