Since the forum upgrade, whenever I try to download a file from a post, I get a Board Message saying : Sorry, but you do not have permission to use this feature. If you are not logged in, you may do so using the form below if available.

I've tried logging out and back in a couple of time - no improvement.

Try downloading with Backstreet Browser.

Backstreet Browser looks a bit heavyweight for this. It must be a configuration problem somewhere. I've tried from 2 PCs on separate broadband connections, and tried Firefox and IE6. I'll create a new profile and try again.

I have had this same issue though I only use Firefox. The way I have found to work around this is simply right click on the link and open in a new tab or window.

The problem appears to be trying to download from posts that have been archived. Downloads from normal topics works OK.

I can't download anything... I'm in IE7.

And the post I'm trying to download from was made last month...

Can you give an example of where this happens?
We upgraded the forum today so issues like this might be fixed.
