Say what you want about Intel these days they sure made great OS X 86 boxes. Not that they ever intended for that to be true but I like how events played out.
I got a free 1.7ghz rig from a family member, apparently the hdd had died and they didn't wanna sink any more money into it.
So I got a 160gb drive for it and used it as a linux playtoy whenever I was bored.
Today I decided to throw my legitimate beta release of Vista on it and that didn't work to well (no booting) since the hardware is older I chalked it up to incompatibility. Now then I took my os x 86 generic disc out *(tips hat to br@odband for so graciously provided the community with it)* and wallah 30 minutes later I have OS X to play with now.
:-) Thought i'd share..
I will look up the exact specs of the hardware for you all but I know this much.
Intel 845 Chipset
Intel 1.7ghz 400mhz FSB
768mb PC133 RAM
Gigabyte mobo
GeForce MX 2
