BY RUNNING OSX86 ON MY PC ELIMINATE ALL ASPECTS OF IT BEING A MEDIA CENTER PC???

I'd say no but depends on what you want from a media center.

yess.. no tv card are suported bij osx on intel..

osx doesn't have mce features by it self..

and that's a shame

Well, you don't have to make OS X your main OS, if that's your point.

actually happened to me...
i installed osx86 and after mce 2005
The rusult was that all mce specific apps were nowhere to find...
but the core xp actually worked better !!

Yeah, I myself have an XP MCE 2005 and OS X x86 set up. It's brilliant, MCE, i love the media center, (although i don't have a TV, but 3,000+pictures and 1,800+songs).

Install Linux & MythTV as dual boot with OSX, you don't need MC from M$: biggrin.gif

Yeah, Frontrow doesnt have dvr or tv (or pvr as some call it on mce), but that doesnt bother me much considering that a vcr and a good ol' flat screen tv works just as well, at least for me.
