So if I get a Turion based laptop, should I just forget about OSX86?

The alternatives are Core duo T2050.

Advice would be appreciated!

It really depends more on the mobo and chipsets. You can try it if you want, maybe even search the forum and wiki.

Thanks for your reply.

The model I´m considering is Fujitsu-Siemens Pa 1538 and the chipset is: nVidiaŽ C51D+MCP51.

i was looking for that laptop, but finally changed my mind due to fact that there are no any working nVidia SATA drivers yet (as mentioned often here in the forum).
so i bought a Pi 1536, which is working almost great. check out 10.4.8 wiki for my results.
my last opinion was before buying, that probably intel chipsets are much closer to work with osx86.
except the intel 3945 wireless. and the ati x1400 i am having without a useful driver sad.gif
hopefully it will change in the near future
