sleep mode ,quiet computer, looking for
motherboard, asus PL5d2-vm 2.0 does not have sleep mode working,...
thought it's a good mobo, motherboard for starters,....
atx +6 sata + firewire a plus,...
now the abit aw9d on the list too,....
sleep mode , which motherboard has it working ?
AI NOS from asus, allows to dynamic overclock, cool,.... that means, I could use it to underclock ?
and when needed, it will overclock, anybody used that feature,... p5b wifi something, think it's and x965 chipset, so that's questionable,...
looked at kandalf LCS case with watercooling,.. but a pump running, no idea what noise it makes, + 3 fans extra,... now I am back to te drawing board,.... that new thermaltake 120mm cpu cooler, with flexible exaust attachment, the have run it without the fan,... and a 140mm PSU with air sucking out should maybe do it,
down to 1 fan,.... of course, when in need, everything is cooking, additional fans, but 97 percent I don't need the noise,...
- cheap,... well think core 2 duo E6400 will be a good overclocker,...
thought a D 352 or 356 celeron be a good starting point for testing,... 65tdp but can't find anything on idle watts,... does have EIST, how much does it downclock ? watts ?
think it runs cool, probably 8watt more than a core 2 duo, since that one burns it with the cache,...
why,... well kids computer,....
- what about those gma950 board,... well for me need disks 6 plus sata, so the micro-atx don't cut it, graphics ok,.... and for the kids, they like to play games, so you got to plug in extra graphics card,...
already have fanless 6600 in an amd 939,... but sata, sound,lan don't work, now what....
- laptops,... unfortunatly, that is even more a mistery, and powermanagment and fan controll is beyond site, no land in site,...
- yeah, grrr, mac-mini,.... quiet,yeah,... gma950 only,....no external sata ports,....
- cases, looked at the v1000 lian, nice design,... but since I have bunch of disks,.... though I'll put them into
linsys hd cooler, for noise, and the v1000 has limite 5 1/4 bays, that's why thermaltake 10 slots, kandalf seams ok,... but maybe the v1000 be nice, has the motherboard upside down, so the video card does not heat the cpu,... but the psu is seperate, so minimum of 2 120mm fans for that, and with that much disks, 7,
I'd need the front fan for disk cooling,..now 3,.... rrrr, or sss,zzzzz,....kandalf also has a 250mm side panel option,...
so what you thing? let me know,
