I just addded a NAS storage device behind my WRT54G, and on my windows boxes (as well as this MBP when booted in windows) I can simply: start, run,\\ 192.168.1.x \ , and be able to see my NAS folders. My question, is how can i do that in OSX??? I tried in a term window, no luck, I can ping it but thats all. I can ftp it as well. Any suggestions appreciated.

hi,
im using a NAS for now near one Year without Problems on my OSX...

You have to get to the Finder (Desktop) and chosse "Go To" then "Connect to Server"

Type in your (Protocol) here, "smb://("IP of Your NAS)"

Should be enough, to see your Folders.

If you have set up a Password, you have to authenticate you with Name and Password.

Have a look to the Application/Utilities/DirectoryService (Programm) to set up Your Windows Workgroupname.

That is all...

Hope, this can help you.
