Full Version: Front Row won't start

I've had my new MacBook for a few days now and yesterday Front Row just decided to disapear! It is no longer called up by pressing menu on the Apple remote, or when pressing command + esc. However, the remote isn't the problem nor is the menu button as the volume works all the time and locking the remote (which requires the menu button) worked fine.
I repaired permissions and did an archive and install - no luck.
Any help?!??!
Also, if any one knows where Front Row is actually stored that would be a great help as I could try and run it through terminal and see what te error message is.
brewno
Did you try installing the 1.2.2 update?

Front Row is stored in

/System/Library/CoreServices/Front Row.app

OMG - Front Row.app doesnt exist any more!!
How the hell did it disapear?!?!?
Will the update install it afresh so I will have Front Row.app??
UPDATE - Tried running the update install but it told me I needed a Mac with an IR receiver running OSX 10.4.5
I'm running 10.4.7 on a MacBook. WTF?!??!?
Can someone PM me their Front Row .app?? thanks

Check the Genius Bar I'm sure there are millions of Resolution tutorials. - Basically you edit your Boot.plist but this is not the place I'm trying to get some help about my REAL mac.
UPDATE: I got it fixed - I had to use a hacked installer as OS X refused to believe that I had an IO port - I think this caused Front Row to disapear. It now works fine.
