I need a fairly simple gif animation program for OS X. Needs to be free.

i know if you have a sequece of images you can make a .gif or .mov using quicktime. and vice versa, using a .mov or a .gif to get an image sequence.

Yep, I'm also looking for an app. Animation Shop Pro style. Doesn't matter if it's not free. Any recommendations?

You know. I think I will just do it in flash and export a gif.

Fireworks and ImageReady will do it, obviously there kind of free...
But seriously, just use flash, swf is way better than gif.
Why the gif may I ask?

Use CrossOver and Animation Shop Pro...the closest you can get to animation shop pro (btw...my fav animator)

i just made a myspace pic (animation gif) witht he gimp! i just made evrything a separate layer, saved as a gif, it asked if i wanted it to be animation, and i could time how fast it went by milliseconds.
