I'm new to video editing, as I have been using iMovie 06. But the problem is that I can't quite seem to get the video tracks lined up where I want them. I am experienced in audio editing. I mostly use Soundtrack Pro 1.x, and Audacity. I know my way around audio production software, and video editing doesn't seem that much more different. I need something more powerful than iMovie so that I can use multiple video tracks instead of just one like in iMovie. iMovie becomes somewhat hard to work with when using only one track. Syncing it with audio is a pain in the ass.

Here is my recent production with iMovie. Professional Opinions?

I tried Avid Free DV, but the damn thing requires some proprietary audio driver, and won't load on my hackintosh, which is my main box. Need something that is Universal. I do this as a hobby and for fun, I Copyleft all my stuff, so I need something either free, really cheap, or something I can get off demonoid.

Suggestions?

I'd try here first

or maybe here

This one goes to a PDF file

Maybe those will help with the sync problem.

You can also use GarageBand for multiple tracks and then join them back into iMovie also and GarageBand can utilize multiple tracks. Then you can export them back into iMovie (but they'll be just one track after export).

If that doesn't work, Here is a Versiontracker search for video editors. Maybe that will have the solution.
