[*]you don't know that a device-property string will resolve your built-in problem and removes the need to modify any kexts.
[*]you don't know anyone with your board running Leo who can generate a device-property string for the ethernet.
[*]you don't know that you can add the device-property string to your com.apple.Boot.plist file.

Well, those above didn't seemed so obvious to you also 2 years ago when you started this thread as they aren't to me now. I just recently joined the Osx86 community like many others looking for answers to their specific problems with hardware and drivers so maybe now that you know of this much more elegant solution to the flexlm problem maybe you could explain it in more detail for the rest of us.

It's an ever changing world in which we live in, I found that modifying the DSDT I could fix ethernet to appear as built-in which resolved more than just the Maya issue.

I wrote a Macintosh application that generates a valid license file for every version of Maya currently in existence so I don't need to copy information to a PC, make a data file, run a PC keygen, copy the new file back to the mac, for me it's just a single click and it runs.

Nice to hear that. BUT!

Have your ever thought about the fact that you never could have done this without all the people sharing their knowledge with you?
What about giving something back? The pure info that YOU have managed it isnīt really worth anything.

People shared knowledge that helped me fix ethernet?

People gave me code used to write the application?

Your facts are incorrect, no one gave me any information or code that helped me resolve this, I did this on my own.

Give what back exactly?

The pure information that it can be resolved without modifying apple supplied software has no value?
