Hey everyone, first post here. I'm trying to install Mac OS X86 10.4.6 jar ver, i got my partition set as primary, 10 gigz, but when i go to boot from the disc it just stays at the grey apple screen, so i went into diagnostic mode. Once I was in diagnostic mode i got the following error

AppleNVIDIAnForceATA: NVIDIA CK85 IDE (CMD 0x170, CTR 0x374, IRQ 13, BM 10Xe008

Still waiting for root device... and that continues

-Is this because it doesn't recognize Sata/2 drives? Or another problem?

DualCore AMD Athlon 64 X2, 2300 MHz (10 x 230)
Instruction Set x86, x86-64, MMX, 3DNow!, SSE, SSE2, SSE3
MSI K8N Neo4 Series (MS-7125)
1 GB OCZ in DUAL channel
Chip set - South Bridge nVIDIA nForce4 (CK8-04
Maxtor 6L250S0 250 gig

Well...here u go.

First make sure u have the patched version of Jas ....

1) add a boot parameter rd=disk0s* where * is ur partition no. if it is on the first partition then rd=disk0s1

this shud work.

If not,go to bios n see if ur DVD drive is set to master or slave n not cable select.
