Did anyone else think that Pirates 2 kinda sucked? I saw it last night at a local IMAX theatre and I really didn't care for it like I did the first one.

Almost any movie is made better in IMAX format, but I just wasn't very impressed with this one.

I didn't think it was as good as the 1st one. I thought the morphed sea creatures was a bit much. I also thought the ending really sucked. I hate going to movie only to find out you have to wait until the next movie to have to wait until the next movie,etc... to find out how things turn out. I felt robbed when I left the theatre.

it wasnt as good, i agree, because it wasnt as realistic as the first (the first was just cheezy) but i liked the first much more

I personally really enjoyed it. It was creative and very exciting in my opinion. They could have done a lot of stuff better (like the ending) but oh well, i still enjoyed it. As for the iMax part, that must have been cool. I wish the would play more movies at our iMax. Maybe the third one will be better.

I agree with kevin 4e. I liked it, but like the LOTR the ending sucked. I like sequels, but when you have to wait till 2009 to see when it will end....nah i don't want to wait. Jerry is an awesome producer tho. Does a really good job on all of his shows/movies. I still like the CSI series.

Yeah, I think the sea creatures thing was a little much for me too. Almost like Star Wars - just because you can doesn't mean you should.

And did Davey Jones remind anyone else of Jar Jar Binks?

I watched this a couple weeks ago at work, it kept me barely awake but it was not as good as the first one. At least it was better then Superman, that movie did put me to sleep.

well the day before yesterday i saw it at home

and yesterday i was in cinema with my girlfriend and it was mutch better then the screener

yeah, but LOTR was based on a book. I personally found this one more boring...
