Ok, first time post here, done lots of reading though.
Ive got an IBM t41, running Omni's Callisto, latest version. Ive also done the Powermanagement hack, and installed Radeontool for OSX.
No matter what happens, my display stays on
Anyone?

what do you mean stays on?? even if you turn off the computer?
mine has a problem that once it goes to sleep, the display will not turn on again, even the PC is still runing

No, like, the power save option is for the display to blank, and thats really all Im after. It basically sits on my desk, and never moves anymore, so Id like it to act like my desktop, and blank the display after a certain amount of time.

Did you manage to figure this out? I'm having the same problem with my Mobility Radeon 9600 Pro Turbo.
I've installed RadeonTool and in dmesg I can see it loads and finds my card, but when it comes time to shut the backlight off it stays on.
I'm not really sure how to go about debugging this problem. There's plenty of references of people suggesting the use of RadeonTool but many of them point to non-existent threads on the old osx86 site as the solution.
