I like the font effect on the sig. Can you make it a little thinner (in order to make it easier for low bandwidthers? The general rule is the space of 5 lines of text)

I nabbed the old Mac from the popular webcomic Diesel Sweeties, and simply did a quick photoshop of the Bond logo. GIF compression messed it up though.

My avatar I punked it off a user from a torrent forum I have always loved the Yin Yang symbol and have a tattoo of it on my right shoulder.

I had a sig but removed it due to excessive PM's from noobs asking simple questions about Thinkpads.

my sig has my basic machine specs, as well as a vain attempt to get interest in my free macbook pro referrals thing.

I made my sig image in Photoshop... Quite easy and quick to do...

I like it 'cause it's simple, neat / small, and looks tidy (exactly the opposite of my room ).

I guess I should come in here and post since I recently put up my new avatar... it's not as polished as I'd like, but the gimp and I weren't getting along that day.

I noticed it the other day...it's got a nice mix of old/newschool-ness to it. The old one was rather cool though, too (the angel, I think it was?).

It was some sort of opera thing..I forget.

wow. I look at everyone's avatar and sig and then i look at mine. The Colonel may not be as good as some of the other ones out there, but it's who I'm know as and I enjoy it. I guess I started being called the Colonel after I worked at KFC for a while. My family started calling me the Colonel. Since then my nickname was the the Colonel. I'm not quite sure where the 1020 came from though. I guess it was because it was easy to remember.

yeah the old one was album art from my record to be release at some point this year...

I think it would have looked better if you had put the Tiger desktop on the Macintosh if you are going to have a tiger next to it. But that's just my opinion.

DRM = Digital Rights Management. It's the stuff that won't let you take a song from iTunes and play it more than a certain amount of times.

Back on topic, anyone have any neat tips or tricks to make signatures look neat in photoshop?

Radial and Motion blur can make just about anything look good, if tastefully done.

I further my knowledge of Photoshop by messing around in it. However, sometimes it's annoying when I need to repeat something and I can't remember what I did!

I'm trying to mimic Apple's aesthetic design. Lots of people have signatures listing their hardware capabilities in plain text. I decided to take a visual approach. I used a Core-Image logo to respresent my 9600's capabalies, a mac and window hd to represent dual-booting, an iDisk icon to represent working internet, an Office logo to represent one of my apps, a burning logo to represent my DVD burner (which works in OS X), and an iPod to represent.. uhh.. my iPod (which is the only official Apple hardware I own.)

You need a browser with PNG Alpha transparency support (IE7, Safari, Firefox) to see the full quality.

I've just created my signature.
I took inspiration from the new spidey movie.
I put two specular images together: on the left there's the Apple Logo with Think different written in gothic (I love gothic characters!) and on the right there's my actual configuration.
