The only IDE drive that i own is 12 GB. And when it runs it frequently makes a noise like its killing cats (whine, hisss clunk) and i need to put it on my SATA drive. The only problem is I can only get it to see my SATA drive after i insatll it and i load AppleIntelPIIXATA.kext as seen in http://forum.osx86project.org/index.php?showtopic=517 . I want to know if theres a way i can do this before it finds my disks, so i could install to it. And i cant install to the IDE and copy the partition. The drive craps out after about 2 minutes of activity. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
