Hi,

I am running 10.4.6 on an intel D945GNTLR motherboard with GMA 950 graphics.
I have configured in the BIOS an aperture size of 256 MB.

But when I look at system profiler, i only got 64 MB... sad.gif

Intel GMA 950:

Chipset Model: GMA 950
Type: Display
Bus: Built-In
VRAM (Total): 64 MB of shared system memory
Vendor: Intel (0x8086)
Device ID: 0x2772
Revision ID: 0x0002

Anyone has the same issue?

I installed from JaS DVD and selected the GMA 900 support. Maybe it could be related?
Quixos, if you read this, I think you got same issue with VRAM?
quixos
no, i don't.

"i use the /System/Library/SystemProfiler folder from 10.4.3". it detects my hardware the way i want it. smile.gif

if you have that folder, you can overwrite the 10.4.6 folder, ala "sudo cp -R", with no ill effects. i'm really not sure whether the .reporter files just report, or if they also makes system policy, in regards to the vram type stuff. my system works perfectly, so i'm not going to dig into that question, but someone should. biggrin.gif

Could you post here your System profiler folder and the commands to execute in order to replace the one in 10.4.6?
quixos
first check your private messages.

second extract your 4.3 SystemProfiler folder to the root of your OS X partition.

then in terminal, type, ...

---------------------------------

sudo cp -R /SystemProfiler /System/Library

---------------------------------

i don't think you have to reboot, but you might have to. let us know. smile.gif

aperture size does not equal memory size of video. read more here about aperture size http://www.techpowerup.com/articles/overclocking/vidcard/43
