i have a G4 powerbook 1.5 ghz and i wanna change the resolution to something higher than 1024x768, that is the max my screen will go. is it possible to change it to a higher res like 1280x1024 ? happymac.GIF

The screen was designed to only going up to 1024x768. It won't go any higher. Even if it did go higher, nothing would show up on the screen because that would be too many pixels for the screen to handle and it would black out.

It shouldn't black out, just become blurry or distorted. Either way, its still almost unusable.

Is there a widescreen resolution that works well?

Like 1024X600? How could I change my resolution to that?
