Modo and Silo work on 1111 (didn't work on 1099 probably because of the lack of Altivec emulation) Modo, is a little slow, but fully works. Silo works fast but the selection is buggy, I can only select vertex edges and faces in a little "virtual" area on the screen, weird...

Just installed darwine 0.9.10 on osx 10.4.5, nice and easy. Was looking in my downloads folder on windows drive looking for things to try, and what do i find?

The program spits out a code that microsoft website uses to check if you've got a valid install of windows before letting you download some software (Windows Defender is one app that needs validating before downloading for example)

I tested World of Warcraft, it runs with no bugs, but I get low FPS between 6 and 25. DVD Player, VLC, or non system PPC Applications runs good ! I use ATI Radeon 9800 pro with 9700 kext on 10.4.5. My AGP card is still being reconized as PCI, it may be the source of the low FPS issue.

If someone have tips and trics to optimize that I would realy enjoy it, please PM me !

Neat trick. It probably works because of the fact that Genuine Check will always pass if you run it on other versions of Windows besides XP or 2003.

Poser 6 /with service pack 2 works. OSX 10.4.4 on ASROCK 915 Dual setup. As usual it starts and runs pretty slow like Macromedia / Dreamweaver and Adobe CS products.

More details : hardrive has 10.4.3 on partition 1 and 10.4.4 on partiion 3. Partition one was salvaged from running replace.sh script by accident can now log on etc. Poser would'nt run from 10.4.3 where it's installed but runs from 10.4.4 by accessing app on 10.4.3 .

Waiting to see the new AMD notebook cpu specs before buying Macbook or new laptop, as true 64bit is probably the way to go --- MAN.

Safari had problems with shockwave, so Camino works great. Why use IE even in a Windows system. Use Firefox. Firefox for mac didn't work for me but it's cousin Camino is great.

Yahoo Messenger for Mac works fine, except that you can't do anything with the preferences. It just stops if u choose preferences.

vlc ppc version works fine though with sluggish framerate. I guess it's coz of my i845 graphics.

Windows media player9 works fine but can't play VCDs and DVDs.

I have it installed, but I cannot run keygen.exe

I have Guitar rig 1.2 installed and running, to use keygen.exe,

first run on Windows XP or somthing to get install code for Guitar Rig,

On OSX run registration and enter key.

Then press copy to clipboard, then paste it to a plain text doc and save it to a usb, or email it to yourself
get it on the windows machine.....

Open text doc on windows and ctrl c, copy to clipboard, then past in to keygen.

keygen will then put the new code in clipboard automatically.

Paste back to text doc,,,,

Then swap to mac,,,,,, copy new text to clipbaord then paste into main boxes, 10 of them....

Then It will say Guitar Rig Registered....

OK, tested ESRI's ArcEXPLORER Java, works fine but that's just a viewer ...

So I tested the usual thing I test on Linux Distros: GRASS GIS.

The OSX 86 version (here) is really something else!

As far as can be seen all works OK and 100 times easier than the normal X11 "Only" interface. Well done to the folk that did the "Aqua" OSX interface. Nice!

Try it if you need a Public Domain GIS!

That's all I've tried so far.

Ok, here's the story. I'm a OS X totall n00b so if anyone knows a way to take care of this situation, please let me know. I installed Adobe CS2 and it ran fine, for a while. Later on, I went to open a pdf file and it just crashed. I get the spining rainbow colored cursor and it won't go away, I pressed the reset button and when I restarted, everything was messed up and the system kept on locking up with the little rainbow colored cursor. There was no way whatsoever to get it to function normally again, it wouldn't even respond to command+option+escape, (force quit) just kept on doing the same thing. Since, like I said, I'm a total n00b, I "restored" OS X. I've done it twice. The first time was because M$ Excel was doing the same thing. Is there anyway to avoid this? Is there a way to fix this crashes without having to restore the OS? Please, very please someone let me know. I'm afraid to install anything else and have whatever application lock up the system and have to start all over again. My guess is that maybe some font is locking up the programs as they try to install...is that possible? If it is, is there a way to get rid of those fonts? Are there some fonts known to cause trouble with some applcations? Thanks in advance!

I dont think this is really the right forum for software questions, but... Have you made sure to use the sse3 kernel? (you can verify this in system profiler) It might be a rosetta incompatibility.

well, it doesnt look like it's an issue of SSE3 or OS version. I havent tried to use Acrobat myself, so I really dont know what the problem might be.

Does the OS seem to stutter a little bit, like on the dock? If the dock doesnt operate smoothly, it could mean your system is unstable. That happened to me, until I set CPUS=1.

I'm really sorry to keep on asking but, how do you do that? (Set CPUS=1).

in com.apple.boot.plist. This is a problem I've had with my pentium d 805 (which I havent figured out how to solve yet). When in two cpu mode, the system stutters a lot and programs crash constantly. in CPUS=1 mode, everything's extremely smooth.

it's worth a try anyways. Just make sure you dont misspell anything, cause it could cause a KERNEL PAAAAAAANIC!!!

yes, it can be reversed, just by deleting that. you have to save, possibly fix permissions in terminal and restart.
