After updating or rather buggering up my system this morning, i am back to square one.
Though i have a strange problem.
If i have both HD and DVD connected, it takes forever for the bios to detect, yet once in os x everything is fine.
If i just connect one or the other, its has no problem, has anyone encountered this.

3 weeks old and @££@ cables bust, cheers me up though, just took me 3 hours to dig one out the attic.

try to plugin an another ide drive, it would be possible that the driver is defect! *look at you pms*

I tried 2 hd, numerous hd with different DVD drives, but it was the new cable that came with the board that was faulty
